Curriculum-
Strategic Objective
To further advance the school curriculum into a well articulated bilingual international curriculum based on international best practices to develop internationally-minded students deeply rooted in the Chinese culture with attributes best meeting the future needs of the changing world.

Strategies and time-line
2022-2025:
1.Expanding the ECA programmes and aligning it with the Career Framework to facilitate students explore career interest and develop motivation;
2.Developing alternative curricular pathways, including AP for Art students, A-Level for a small number of students needing it, and some in partnership with universities (e.g.a foundation year at BIBA), to suit the needs of different students for optimizing university entrance for all students;
3.Further developing Middle Management on Curriculum Development and promoting mutual classroom visits.^
2023-2025:
4.Consolidating one whole school stream-lined system (computer- based) for the whole school where teachers can find student-information and previous assessment scores; Developing a curriculum management strategy.
2025-2027:
5.Incorporating AI learning & certification into curriculum as a signature feature of BIBA students to facilitate University recognition.

Technology and Facilities-
Strategic Objective
To expand space and facilities to meet the needs of the growing student population and equipping the school to best facilitate 21st century learning.

2022-25:
1. Towards a whole school student and information management system (Also see 1.11)^;
2. Installing a School Management System;
3. Developing a hardware renewal plan;
4. Introducing data ware-houses, 1:1 lab-top; school information sharing platform, improving school website, and towards a Green Campus.
2025-onwards:
5. Optimizing land use and building a dome/an indoor recess space, an auditorium, a swimming pool, 3-5 more playgrounds, further sports facilities and equipment;
6. Building a purpose-built ECC building.

Communications-
Strategic Objective
To ensure effective and efficient vertical and horizontal communications for a harmonious culture and efficient practices.

2022-24:
1. Recruiting a communications manager and establishing a translations team/office;
2. Centralizing information dissemination and issuing weekly announcements through continuing to introduce a whole school communications system (We Com) including a oneway communication system for staff and parents where no one can respond back (e.g. for more efficient issue of whole school notices (one notice rather separate ones from ECC, ES, MSHS)^;
3. Setting up a communication channel for efficient handling of complaints and enquiries so that parents, students and staff know who and the path to communication on matters.*

1. Developing a BIBA-specific love and fulfilment framework for inspiring systematic and comprehensive practices towards a school of love and fulfilment;
2. Becoming a school with exemplary school-parent partnership for optimal quality education^;
3. Developing WASC Thinking and Habits (including Action Research) in divisional and departmental practices^;
4. Developing a Reflective Culture and multi-cultural thinking: Understanding, respecting, accepting and practising.

Partnership-
Strategic Objective
To amplify effectiveness and impact through collaborations with external parties.

2022-2027
1. Initiating university partnership for strategic staff, student and programme developments;
2. Strategic partnership with reputable overseas schools and universities for innovative programmes (e.g. High Tech Hi of USA for inquiry learning) and learning experiences for students;
3. Partnership with non-profit-making organizations (Charities) for introducing service learning earlier in the whole school curriculum;
4. Partnership with vendors for fostering positive relationships;
5. Partnership with big multi-facet corporations with a variety of businesses under their umbrella such as Banks and Insurance companies under the same roof like CITIC (中信), including inviting them to come to share with our students^;
6. Career-related cooperation to allow for more experiential learning for our students (e.g. visits);
7. Partnership with more bilingual schools, our own campuses (e.g. Guiyang) and school in the rural areas for broadened life-experiences and 1-2 week exchanges^.

Branding-
Strategic Objective
To enhance community, national and international recognition of the school with touching signature features, striving to become the best in bilingual international education for local students.

1. Developing a strong presence in the international school and local community;
2. Increasing BIBA’s presence in the international scene;
3. Building on the Alumni Club of BIBA graduates (National and International) for enhanced involvement and ownership of alumni to promote the BIBA image;
4. Introducing Webinars by prominent educators;
5. Developing and sharing a Marketing Strategic Plan;
6. Developing a very clear instant public image of who we are when the name of BIBA is mentioned (e.g. Global Education);
7. Linking the work of Branding with Partnership.
